   "TurboCombustor Technology Inc. (TCT) is a premier manufacturer of complex sheet metal fabrications for turbine jet engines in the aerospace and industrial markets throughout the world. TCT has grown over the last thirty eight years to two facilities that cover over 110,000 square feet and employs more than 320 skilled workers in Stuart, Florida.
    The Business Development Board of Martin County referring us to the US Export Assistance Center in Ft. Lauderdale proved extremely helpful in expediting our application with the Department of Commerce in Washington. TCT successfully obtained the required commodity classification from the Department of Commerce for a particular aerospace casting technology to be exported.  This "No License Required" classification for our foreign supplier covers dual-use technology.   Again, our sincere thanks to the Business Development Board for their advice in this matter."

     Awareness Technology is a designer and manufacturer of laboratory instruments which we mostly sell into the international market.  Our company grew up in Martin County.  We are fortunate to have a business development board that is proactive and effective.  Every time we run into a problem, the BDB provides us with answers or appropriate referrals.  Their services came in especially handy a few years ago when we needed to expand our factory.  It looked like we'd have to relocate until members of the BDB came to our rescue and helped us get through the process.  They understand business and business people and appreciate the value of clean, high wage industry to the community.  Their readiness to help has inspired me to help other businesses by serving as a board member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Council, the Workforce Development Board, and BDB's committee to promote more exports from Martin County.

            We moved our operation to Hobe Sound almost two years ago.  In that time, the Business Development Board has contacted us with many different business opportunities.  They have been very helpful and the information they have provided has been very beneficial.  Some of the programs they have assisted us with are:

  • The SATOP  program and contact information;
  • Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce;
  • The SCORE program with members of the Hobe Sound Chamber of Commerce;
  • The US Commerce program with exporting and contacts;
  • The exporting booklets and pamphlets;
  • Facilitating a meeting with the One Stop Carrer Center for future employees.

     The networking opportunities the Business Development Board provides us with in Martin County have helped to make our business be more successful.

     We look forward to expanding our business in Martin County for many years to come and the Business Development Board is a big part of why we are so optimistic about our company's future here.

     Just a short note to thank the Business Development Board of Martin County for the encouragement you provided us for our participation in the SATOP program.  In pursuit of an idea for a manufacturing process that seems somewhat novel, we found we simply did not have enough time available for research.  SATOP contacted us with an engineer who in turn put us in contact with companies capable of fulfilling our needs.  They provided us with a level of understanding commensurate with our needs.  They also allowed us the time we did not have, it was like having a very capable volunteer to help us out.

Thank you.

     We started our supermarket décor design and fabrication business in 1954 and have been successful.  When we decided to move from New York to Florida in 1996, we initially checked Boynton Beach and Boca Raton but ended up choosing Palm City as we felt it was the best place to continue our growing business.  Ted Astolfi and the Business Development Board of Martin County made the transition easier for our company and us.  They have been helpful in introducing us to all the networking opportunities that may always lead to good business contacts and potentials and more so, made our first years of adjustments in the sunny state a very pleasant experience.

     We appreciate all the assistance and community recognition we have received from the Board and we look forward to meeting new opportunities in Martin County in the years to come. Thank you very much.

      Donovan Enterprises would like to express its appreciation for the invaluable assistance rendered by the Business Development Board of Martin County with our move into our new and expanded facility on Gran Park Way, Stuart.

      Donovan Enterprises is the leading manufacturer of covering systems for the heavy duty dump truck and waste industries on a worldwide basis. Our headquarters is located in Martin County with an additional manufacturing plant in Michigan.

      We recently entered into a major expansion program of our facilities here in Martin County and with the help of the Business Development Board, Ted Astolfi, we were able to build a building and transition into the new building with a minimum amount of disruption to our business. This is a testament to the follow up, tenacity and perseverance of the Business Development Board of Martin County. Their assistance and help in following the project through in the county offices was invaluable.

     We have found the Business Development Board ready, willing and able to assist in any way possible. They have been of great assistance with our local government as well as providing names and suggestions to overcoming some of the hurdles we encountered.

     We feel fortunate to have them on our team and recognize their hard work and dedication to bringing good clean industry to Martin County.

     Elliott Energy Systems, Inc. (EESI) was founded in 1996 in Stuart, FL.  Its predecessor was a small design company that dates back to the early 1990’s.  Today we are a designer and manufacturer of microturbines that are sold into the “distributed energy markets.”  Our products help small and medium sized companies manage their energy costs.  EESI services markets throughout the world and has become known worldwide as a premier supplier of microturbine based energy systems.

     Florida and specifically Martin county has a long history of Aerospace companies.  The collection of technical specialties found in Martin County is as diverse and plentiful as any high tech center in the US.  This is the reason EESI was founded in Stuart.  As EESI has grown it has looked to the Business Development Board for advise in many areas.  The Board, directed by Ted Astolfi, has supported EESI giving excellent contacts and assistance with State grants, tax advantages, export information, workforce development.  The highly skilled workforce and the efforts of the Business Development Board make Martin County our preferred place of business.
