| Though the statewide unemployment rate continued to inch downward in April, on the Treasure Coast, only Martin County followed suit.
Martin County’s jobless rate, already the lowest on the Treasure Coast, fell to 6.7 percent in April from 6.9 percent the previous month. That’s the lowest it’s been since it was 6.0 percent in May 2008.
