The Business Development Board of Martin County announces that 51 Martin County companies submitted requests through Workforce Solutions to participate in the "Florida Back to Work" program. This first round of applications, expected to create 261 jobs, was transmitted on Friday, January 15 and contains requests for $5.7M. This portion of the application accounts for nearly 1/3 of the total sought for the entire, four county region. |

American Le Mans racing has come to Martin County with Scott Sharp's Extreme Speed Motorsports.
Derek Granison, team manager at Extreme said the team's new location at 7782 Southwest Jack James Drive was a no-brainer.
"Stuart offered us the financially best location and being that it is centrally located to racetracks in this area, so for us it was the best place for the space that we have," he said, referring to tracks in Sebring, Homestead and Daytona.
