The Business Development Board of Martin County was honored with a promotional and marketing innovation award recently during Florida Economic Development Council's 2011 Annual Conference in Orlando. The advertising award was given in recognition of an ad featuring the likeness of American Le Mans race driver Scott Sharp with the headline: How fast can Martin County, FL move for business?
The ad promotes Martin County's ability to expedite permitting for qualified targeted businesses that are expanding or relocating, the board said in a news release. "Expedited permitting is offered to companies with significant economic development projects that create good jobs, pay high wages, and strengthen and diversify the economy," board officials said in the release.
The Business Development Board of Martin County is the county's official economic development organization, and Enterprise Florida, Inc. partner. More information about the organization can be found by visiting www.bdbmc.org.
