One of only two school districts in Florida to have all “A”-rated schools in 2007, Martin County offers numerous opportunities to receive an outstanding education. Martin County High School and South Fork High School were named by "Newsweek Magazine" as being among the top five percent of public high schools in the country.
Post secondary and professional educational opportunities are offered to Martin County residents through award winning Indian River State College, Florida Atlantic University and a number of State and private universities located within driving distance. Public school offerings include 12 elementary, five middle, and three high schools, in addition to three charter schools and private schools.
