The Martin County School District is consistently ranked among the highest performing school districts in Florida. In 2012, Martin County earned an “A” grade from the Florida Department of Education for the 11th consecutive year. The school district includes 12 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 3 high schools, and two charter schools.
South Fork High School and Jensen Beach High School have been named “top high schools in the nation” by Newsweek Magazine, based on total number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and Cambridge tests given annually. Martin County is home to the 2012 FIRST Robotics World Champions!
Post secondary and professional educational opportunities are offered to Martin County residents through award winning Indian River State College, Florida Atlantic University and a number of State and private universities located within driving distance. Public school offerings include 12 elementary, five middle, and three high schools, in addition to two charter schools and private schools.
