The Business Development Board of Martin County (BDBMC) is a public-private partnership working to promote balanced and orderly economic growth in Martin County by retaining and assisting businesses and attracting desirable new businesses, while preserving the quality of life, and expanding educational and employment opportunities.
MISSION: To focus its staff and resources on providing assistance primarily to new or expanding companies that are “contributory” in nature, non-retail, among the targeted industries for Martin County, which are compatible with the environment, generally employ ten or more, generally pay above the prevailing average wage in the community, have a low-impact on the community infrastructure and have the potential for making a significant capital investment. This policy is established to enable the BDB Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Staff to efficiently budget both dollars and time to most effectively impact Martin County’s economy in a positive way.
